Higher end makeup is always a luxurious luxury to have. But at some times it can seriously break the bank. So as the "Makeup Junkie" that I am, I was curious if I can find a higher end makeup palette for half the price. I have the original Kat Von D contour palette that I purchased at Sephora for $46 and I use this palette all the time. I even hit pan on some shades! After looking on Ebay, I found the same palette for $18.95 with free shipping.

For $18.95 and free shipping I took a chance on this purchase. When the item came in I was very surprise. It look almost exactly the same. At the bottom, I'm going to show the original palette that I have to the fake one.

Here is a picture of the two palettes side by side. To be very honest, at a far away distance they look the same. The pigment is nice and buttery, but what I noticed with the Ebay palette is that the colors pick up a lot of shadow verses the original. The fake one is more warm tone verse the original is more cooler tones.

In my opinion if I didn't have the original with me I would say that the palette is 100% authentic. Honestly, even though this palette is a fake, I think its a very close dupe to the original. If you want to save a few extra bucks I say buy the one on eBay or save your pennies for the real thing.
